What I can be found doing on my day off is spending time with my family, playing like a kid, working on marketing ideas for the salon, doing creative projects, definitely not cleaning!
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? I would have loved to have been a teacher or a therapist..which if I think about it, I actually am able to do in my career...so hmm, maybe a marine biologist.

I'm passionate about what I do because I believe a trip to the salon is not just about getting a great cut or color, but about feeling cared for and pampered by a good friend. I feel that I am a skilled professional who takes her job seriously, but I never consider it work; for me, it's a way to stay connected with my clients and to take a break from my real job: raising my three small children!

What I can be found doing on my day off is running around doing errands for my family (aka: shopping), playing with my kids and cooking in the kitchen
What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? would have to say nursing, because I really love to take care of people, but I would have been a head nurse or administrative nurse because I'm really organized and handle tasks well.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? I was going to pursue a nursing career, because I love to make people feel better, but realized my career in hair was the best profession for me, because it allowed me creativity and making people feel better.

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? If I was not a hairdresser, I would have been a truck driver. I love traveling and the sense of freedom I felt riding in the truck with my Dad when I was younger was a great feeling!

My sense of style is funky, I can wear plain colors but I always have something bright to go with it (they call me Punky Brewster) Oh, and my haircolor changes constantly.
I'm inspired by everyone at the salon, especially Kim, she is so relaxed and patient, when I need help with anything she is right there if it takes a few minutes or a few hours, she takes the time to teach me tricks of the trade. I'm also inspired by fashion magazines, I can't get enough of them!
I'm passionate about what I do because It's something I genuinely love to do, I'm in love with being a hairstylist and I love the creativity it allows me, I don't think of anything else while I am working and I'm told that I am a natural at it and catch on quickly, which makes me love it even more!
